THE ECOMMERCE REPORT

DMCA and copyright notice

The Ecommerce Report respects copyright. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act quickly.

Filing a notice

Send a written notice to [email protected] with the subject line DMCA takedown request, including all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, with a link to the original if it is online.
  3. The exact URL on this site where the material appears, so we can find it. "Somewhere on your blog" is not enough.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

What happens next

We aim to acknowledge every complete notice within two business days. Where the claim is clear we remove or disable access to the material immediately and notify whoever posted it. Where it is not clear we may ask for more information before acting.

Counter notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter notice to the same address with your signature, the material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district. We may restore the material after 10 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

Accounts and contributors who repeatedly infringe copyright are removed permanently.

Our own material

If you have republished our work without permission, expect a notice from us. Short quotes with attribution and a link are always welcome and never need permission.
